First elected as our State Representative in 2020, Milou came to Harrisburg with a different perspective: one of a well-known local business person, former public and private school teacher, mom, and taxpayer. That's a perspective she has used to focus on issues that affect all our families - and to work for commonsense solutions to the issues we face.
Since arriving in Harrisburg, Milou has earned a reputation as a no-nonsense legislator and one of Harrisburg's strongest watchdogs for taxpayers, focusing time and effort on controlling state spending and debt in the face of liberal efforts to take more from Pennsylvania's working singles, families, and retired seniors.
Milou has also focused on making Pennsylvania a better place for small businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed - because economic growth and prosperity is the key to a bright future for our citizens and to making sure our children can stay here in the state as adults. To do this, she has focused on a comprehensive approach: one that works to improve the state's education system, to make our tax and regulatory system more fair, more affordable, and more predictable for job creators, and to harness our state's energy resources in a responsible manner that drives economic growth.
Milou is a native of the Lehigh Valley, born and raised in nearby Nazareth and graduating from Cedar Crest College. She lived in Lehigh County for 35 years before moving to her home of the last 14 years in Lower Saucon Township with her husband, Kevin Brown, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and veteran. Milou is the mother of two sons and has two grandchildren.
